About Us

Becky Carter

The Enhancement Center has been owned and operated by Becky Carter since 2000. She has many years of experience in the field of Aesthetics. Currently she is licensed in two states, and has over 30 years of combined experience as a business owner, Partners in Education teacher, researcher, developer, manufacturer, and Certified Laser technician in the aesthetic medical field.

Becky and her daughter Lyndsey (licensed esthetician, Certified Laser technician and endermologist), have owned and operated The Enhancement Center, a Medical Day Spa in Bend, for over ten years. Together they research, develop and manufacture the Face-It product line, which has been on the market for over ten years and has distributors in four different states. Becky has worked in Laser and Plastic surgery with extensive experience in pre and post op. She has been teaching advanced Aesthetics for over ten years and currently teaches classes in product knowledge, applications and Certification for Skin resurfacing treatments for the Face-It professional product line.

Becky is wife and mother to four amazing people and Grandmother of three wonderful grand kids! She loves outdoor sports; hiking, snow boarding, cross country skiing, wake-surfing, wake boarding, and fishing. She is active as a community volunteer for various organizations, primarily for women and children in need.

Lyndsey Carter

Lyndsey Carter is a licensed Aesthetician, Certified Laser Technician,LMT, and  Endermologist She has been practicing in her field for over five years, but has been involved in the business since she was a child. Always interested in the beauty industry, Lyndsey grew up helping her mom at the kitchen table, making hand painted product labels, making facial products, filling product bottles, packing and shipping the FACEIT Product line that is shipped to distributors in four different states.

Lyndsey has worked side by side with her Mom (Becky Carter) at the Enhancement Center Spa for eight years, helping to build the business to the success that it is. Lyndsey is very active in her personal life also. She is a certified snowboarding instructor at Mt Bachelor, enjoys wakeboarding, hiking, biking, fishing ,camping and skiing. Lyndsey volunteers every year with many different charities, donating services for auctions, most recently for breast cancer awareness.

Dr. Elizabeth McElligott, ND

Elizabeth McElligott, ND completed her Bachelor of Science at Ithaca College in Central New York. Dr. McElligott then earned her Naturopathic Doctorate from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. Upon graduation in June of 2010, she completed an internship focusing on optimal aging and hormone replacement therapy in the Portland area.

Dr. McElligott treats the whole body, not just particular symptoms. Her treatment plans general include a combination of natural medicines and specific lifestyle changes designed to bring balance to every system of the body. She works with many different health issues and is particularly interested in treating challenging health problems such as hormone problems, digestive problems and other chronic conditions. In addition, Dr. McElligott has expertise in the treatment of weight loss and aesthetic medicine. She enjoys helping a patient optimize his or her metabolism in order to achieve long-term weight loss and optimal health.

In naturopathic medical school, she trained extensively in the areas of clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, minor surgeries, counseling, women’s health, midwifery as well as conventional medical treatments. She has completed extra coursework in the areas of Women’s health, nutrition, minor surgery and aesthetics.

Dr Elizabeth McElligott participates in the American Academy of Anti-Aging seminars and continuing education programs.

Sonja Newton

Sonja has been in the beauty industry for 25 years working as a hair designer, salon owner, platform artist/educator, makeup artist and esthetician. As much as she enjoyed her years in the beauty industry, she also knew that after her children were grown, she would want to explore other professional options to fill the new chapter in her life. On an introspective hike up the South Sister, she met a traveling nurse from Georgia. That day, on the side of a mountain after a surprisingly heartfelt and lengthy conversation regarding life and reinvention, Sonja knew this next chapter in her life would involve going back to college and getting a degree in Nursing.

After having spend many years in the beauty industry and subsequently receiving her degree and becoming a registered nurse, it seemed a very natural fit to enter the world of medical aesthetics.

Sonja is currently a licensed RN with advanced certification in ND yag, Vbeam. Gentlelase and IPL lasers as well as in the administration of Dermal injectables (Botox and dermal filler) for aesthetic enhancements. She is thrilled to be involved in this rapidly evolving technological field and plans this year to add to her repertoire; advanced training and certification in scierotherapy, weight loss / management, integrated and regenerative anti aging modalities.

In her spare time Sonja enjoys spending time with her 2 children and being outdoors back packing, hiking and camping and paddle boarding, most everything else Central Oregon has to offer. She is also a volunteer with the Red Cross, Donate Life NW, the PPP and community theaters.
